Description
Tsugami HS207-5AX is a Swiss type turning center with a B-axis with a 20-millimeter bar pitch.
With kinematics based on two gangs and an independent counter-rotating system (for counter-spindle operation on 3 axes), the HS207-5AX allows the machining of highly complex parts, even when milling simultaneously on 5 axes.
As an option, a B-axis can be mounted with double support (upper and lower), which gives it greater rigidity than all its competitors, as well as greater tooling capacity: 10 live tools and 8 fixed tools.
As in the rest of Tsugami’s range, the spindles are built-in liquid-cooled motors, as is the guidebush, which does not incorporate any belts as it is a built-in “direct drive” type motor. This makes the transition between guidebush and gudebushless operations particularly easy, and the adjustment can be made in less than 15 minutes.
The Abile programming software is included in the basic package of the machine. It allows automatic program generation, time calculation, collision test, 3D simulation, etc.
