OPEN TECH 26 brings together more than 60 companies to see automation in action
Maquinser’s open house brought together machining, part feeding, measurement and programming, alongside the presentation of the new HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200.
More than 60 companies took part in OPEN TECH 26, held from 6 to 8 October 2026 at Maquinser’s headquarters in Granollers. Under the Easy Automation theme, the event showed how to reduce manual intervention and make better use of available production hours. Event information.
Muratec, Matsuura and Tsugami: machining automation
Maquinser’s showcase centred on Muratec automated turning solutions; Matsuura five-axis machining and multi-pallet systems for unattended production; and Tsugami sliding-head technology for precision turning. In additive manufacturing, HP and DyeMansion complemented the display with industrial 3D printing and post-processing solutions, including the presentation of the new HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200.
Partner solutions at OPEN TECH 26
Technology partners complemented the demonstrations with solutions for different stages of the process:
Renishaw: measurement connected to machining
Renishaw demonstrated Equator and Renishaw Central integrated with a Muratec lathe. The solution connects dimensional inspection with production data and enables automatic tool offset corrections to keep parts within tolerance. Watch Renishaw’s video and read the post.
Protec: feeding, unloading and in-process inspection
Protec presented TOP Automazioni’s bar feeder and parts unloader, alongside MT solutions fitted to the machines on display, including the Muratec MT1065. Among them, MT-TPS Touch Probe Shield protects the probe from chips and coolant for in-process measurement. TOP Automazioni · MT.
SMW-Autoblok: workholding and handling
SMW-Autoblok contributed zero-point systems and grippers on machines prepared for unattended production. SMW-Autoblok.
ZOLLER: tool data sent directly to the machine
ZOLLER demonstrated venturion and zidCode 4.0 integrated with a Matsuura, connecting measurement and presetting with automated data transfer. ZOLLER.
Hexagon and ISCAR: digital machining preparation
Hexagon presented ESPRIT EDGE with a focus on artificial intelligence and multi-channel programming. ESPRITCAM developments also included ISCAR’s online tool and toolholder catalogues and the online digital twin. ESPRIT EDGE · ESPRITCAM and ISCAR developments.
Gaspà Grané: cutting tools and toolholders
Gaspà Grané introduced developments from DC Swiss, Mikron Tool, REGO-FIX and Tungaloy-NTK, covering threading, drilling, milling and toolholding solutions announced following AMB 2026. Gaspà Grané’s announcement.
Kennametal, Italmatic, Serkide and MTC Barcelona also participated, completing the group of partners announced by Maquinser. Maquinser’s updates.
HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200: more accessible industrial additive manufacturing
OPEN TECH 26 hosted the presentation of the new HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200, a compact solution that makes industrial-quality 3D printing more accessible. Its proposition lowers the investment barrier, opening up this technology to companies that previously could not consider bringing this type of equipment in-house.
The HP MJF 1200 expands the options for in-house additive manufacturing, bringing Multi Jet Fusion technology to more workshops and development and production departments. Learn more about the HP MJF 1200.
The event’s additive manufacturing offering also included DyeMansion Powershot X and VX1, presented alongside HP technology. Maquinser’s updates.
MTDCNC coverage: interviews and customer stories
MTDCNC attended as an invited media outlet and published a feature in which Paul Jones talks to Christian Postigo about practical automation and the technology on display.
